I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
